Our campaign featured Reese Witherspoon as spokesperson for Avon. The campaign helped increase sales and helped to put Avon into the same arena as Revlon and Maybelline. Since Reese had a singing part in the movie, Walk the Line, we proposed that she sing “Fever” in a spot for an Avon fragrance. Her agent told us she wasn’t up for it. Then, a year later, Beyonce sang Fever for her fragrance called “Heat.” Right idea. Wrong singer.
